You're here because you're ready to feel different.

You're tired of feeling like life is out of your control and there’s nothing you can do to feel better. Maybe someone has suggested you try therapy, or you have been thinking about it for a while. You know you can’t keep feeling this way, and your relationships are suffering.

You know that you want to live without this feeling of anxiety, sadness, or loss, and you are ready to make a change.

You’re in the right place.

How I work

At the core of my approach to therapy is the belief that we have the ability to make change, even when things feel hopeless.

Hi, I’m Belinda!

I know that being human and living in this world can sometimes seem difficult. A lot of the time, we aren't necessarily suffering from a sickness or disorder; rather, life is chaotic and confusing, and because we aren't born with a manual, we frequently feel overwhelmed and unable to cope with the situations we find ourselves in. This can lead us to feel anxious, depressed, and physically ill. Life is messy and unpredictable at times; it can lead to us feeling disconnected from others and lacking in passion and meaning.

I believe therapy should be a collaborative process in which I listen and question your unique way of being in the world to gain a better understanding of how it is for you. I don’t believe therapy is me telling you what to do. Instead, I work to support, guide, and, when necessary, challenge your views so you can come to terms with where you are and understand why you feel and act the way you do. I will help you know your emotions, your values, and your beliefs so that understanding yourself gives you the power to change your life by making decisions and choices that are right for you.

Although therapy will mean having uncomfortable and difficult conversations, requiring you to work hard, I believe in offering a friendly, relaxed and warm space so that you can fully be yourself, whoever that may be.

HEre’s what I believe about therapy:

This isn't about becoming someone "different."

There is no normal or perfect way to live life. We are all individuals, and that should be celebrated. Sometimes we just need to sit with someone who gets it and who can guide us to the place we want to be.

The best investment you can make is in yourself.

Therapy should be a place where you feel comfortable and able to fully be yourself, and you never know, we might even have a laugh too. Therapy shouldn’t be stuffy or always serious. Yes, it is about having uncomfortable conversations, but in doing so, you will heal and grow.

You are inherently deserving of living a happy and fulfilled life.

Life is a precious gift but also a scary ride. I know you deserve to wake up each morning ready to live according to your desires and beliefs. We all deserve to be happy, but I believe happiness is something we choose, not just something we are. It’s not what happens to us in life but how we think about it, and we all have the power to control our mindset regardless of our situation.
